"I first met Dr. Z a few years ago and he was able to help me overcome a three year bout with insomnia! When I was thinking of having a child I went to him to help prepare my body for conception. Not only were his treatments effective, but I would soon find that acupuncture can help with everything pregnancy related.
I had all of the common issues with my first pregnancy - nausea, reflux, back pain, headaches, restless legs, etc. Dr. Z was able to help me alleviate or completely get rid of all my aches and pains.
I was most grateful for his help with my nausea. It lasted for 16 weeks and was 24/7 until I went to Dr. Z, and after two treatments my nausea was gone! I asked myself for weeks afterwards, 'Why did I wait so long??"
Dr. Z was also my savior during my second pregnancy. I went into preterm labor at 33 weeks and started having contractions and dilating. Every time I started to have contractions I would go in to Dr. Z and they would stop within minutes. I reached full term - something my OB was sure would not happen.
I firmly believe that second pregnancy went to term because of acupuncture. My son was born at 39 weeks and 1 day and came out pink and healthy and ready to face the world!
I recommend Dr. Z to everyone I meet - especially my pregnant friends or friends trying to conceive. He is a lifesaver!

Dr Z has quite literally changed my life.
A few years ago, I was regularly suffering from muscle spasms in my lower back. They would strike about every six months, and I would be out of work for a week each time. I had gone to doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors--nothing worked. Nothing! After a particularly bad bout, uncomfortable for weeks, I happened to walk past EASTLAND ACUPUNCTURE. I have never tried acupuncture, never believed in it really, but thought "what can it hurt?"
Laying on his table that first time, he felt along my spine and said "Here. This is where the problem is." In just moments he had isolated the vertebrae that were out of place. After one session only, I was immeasurably better. Before I was unable to sit comfortably for any length of time, but that evening I was in a lawn chair at a BBQ for hours! After a few weeks, I was fully PAIN FREE! I had forgotten what it was like to not feel pain in my lower back!
I have been going to DR Z ever since. Whenever my back feels tweaky, I visit him straight away and after I am right as rain. Since I started seeing him, I have had one--ONE--muscle spasm in over three years, and that was when I was away on a business trip and couldn't get to him.
I tell everyone about Dr. Z--and everyone that sees him agrees. He's a miracle worker.

After numerous doctor appointments with an ENT, a neurotologist, two neurologists and a hematologist, as well as MRIs of my brain, neck and spine and two EMGs, Dr. Z and acupuncture have done the most to improve my neuropathy and vertigo. His approach is completely different than western doctors who seem determined to fit you into their pre-conceived categories of diagnosis.
Dr Z looks at the entire picture, from a different viewpoint and with a completely open approach to what he might find. The numbness and tingling in my hands and feet, general energy level and intense vertigo are all greatly improved, much to my relief!

My daughter, my husband and myself all see Dr. Z at Eastland Acupuncture Center for treatments. My daughter calls him the "miracle worker" because he was able to eliminate the pain she was in from a broken rib plus speed the healing time.
Dr Z has helped my husband become pain free from arthritis in his hands. He has treated me successfully for many ailments including neck pain, arthritis in my shoulder, anxiety and hot flashes.
The clinic is serene and beautiful and Monica, the office manager, is a delight. Dr Z seems to intuitively know where to put the needles and what underlying issues need healing.

I have been through some very serious back pain problems. Anyone who has ever experienced it knows how tough they are to conquer. I decided to do my research to try everything before considering those serious matters like surgery, etc.
I tried numerous chiropractors, pain doctors and physical therapists. I heard different opinions and very pleasant fairy tales about how they would help me. My wife was given Dr. Z's number by her friends, and I finally gave it a try. Dr. Z was right on with my problems - right on the very first visit. He is extremely knowledgeable and honest. I prefer less talk and more to the point. I got very good results (it took some time - and I was told right upfront) and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I also saw the same patients coming back to him. Isn't it the best compliment for a good doc?

I first started seeing Dr.Z with a variety of issues related to fibromyalgia. I was weak,tired, living in a brain fog and did not have a good quality of life. I had previously tried everything from anti-depressants to craniosacral therapy and nothing was working. From the first time I saw Dr. Z, I could feel the fatigue lifting and the pain lessening. My mind was sharper and digestive system worked better, too. It was an amazing transformation, as my family and friends would attest. I even got a promotion at work!
My husband and I assumed we were not going to be able to have children, as one of my doctors previously told me, but that was not the case. I had a very smooth, healthy, energetic pregnancy, labor and delivery with no complications, thanks to Dr. Z.

For six years I suffered from extreme headaches, sometimes lingering for several months at a time. I saw many doctors and tried several different types of medicine. After years of unsuccessfully trying to find a traditional way to treat the pain, doctors began to act indifferent when I described my pain to them.
I decided to help myself by researching non-traditional methods of treating pain. Acupuncture was the first method I chose to try. I've been a patient of Dr.Z for a few years now and there hasn't been a single time when I didn't get relief from my symptoms after his treatments. Those of you who have ever experienced any kind of muscle spasm and/or numbness of the finger tips can relate to how uncomfortable it makes you feel. I am very happy that I received acupuncture treatments for fertility at Eastland Acupuncture. The treatments helped my body best prepare for pregnancy and made me feel relaxed as well.

Dr. Z is an excellent doctor. I trust him completely because he has thorough knowledge of and training in conventional medicine and in alternative medicine and acupuncture. He helped me with my chronic back-pain issues with his needles and a recommendation to stick with gentle yoga when University of Chicago hospital recommended a surgery. He has that special touch which is both healing and comforting, I love how it works. I always leave his office feeling relaxed, calm and good.

Dr. Z. helped me find my calm during a very difficult period in my life. After having two miscarriages while undergoing a year and a half of infertility treatments, I started seeing Dr. Z. twice a week to help me.

I started seeing Dr. Z several years ago for my low back pain, which he diagnosed as sciatica, and the results were amazing. Then he addressed my sinus headaches that I continually had for years, that conventional cold and sinus medicine did not solve. I swear by his herbs for cold & sinus problems!!
He has most recently helped me get through the aches and pains of pregnancy, which included a flare of my ulcerative colitis, a recurrence of my sciatica, and various leg and body aches.
With his combination of acupuncture, massage, herbs and nutrition information, so many ailments I have had are gone so much faster than when I tried other methods. I trust him with every aspect of my health.

I was referred to Dr. Z. by a friend of mine for allergy treatment. I always been slightly allergic to dogs, but over the past few years my allergies have gotten worse, but I refuse to give up my pooch! Honestly, I was a bit nervous - I hate needles and I've never had this sort of treatment before, but Dr. Z. made this experience easy and relaxing! The treatment was pain free, I got to take a phenomenal nap, and most importantly, the treatment worked!
I saw immediate results after the first treatment - my sneezing was reduced and my itchy/watery eyes went away. I've been going to him regularly now for the past few months and now I can go allergy free for a few weeks at a time. If you are looking for an alternative medicine treatment, Dr. Z is the way to go!
